The PIUG membership directory is based on the profiles maintained by each individual connected to PIUG by current or past paid membership or creation of a PIUG wiki username. Each person is encouraged to login to this PIUG website to update the member profile with contact, employment and professional interest information. Each member also decides whether the whole profile, only specific information fields, or no information should be made available to anyone who accesses this web directory ("public directory") or only to current PIUG members ("members-only directory").
The vast majority of PIUG members have chosen to limit access to the member profile to PIUG members only. As a result, users must login to this PIUG website in order to access the bulk of directory information that PIUG members have provided. To get the most complete information, login to this PIUG website and navigate to the Members-only Directory.
Please consider joining PIUG, and if you have already, for providing public access to your profile information, much as you might via a LinkedIn profile, in order to enhance communication and collaboration among patent information professionals worldwide.
The PIUG wiki has a separate and distinct "People Directory" with personal contact information maintained by users on the PIUG wiki. The People Directory is only available to users after login. It is not freely available to people not signed up for the PIUG wiki or indexed by search engines. See the People Directory wiki tip for access information.
PIUG respects the privacy of its members and, therefore, stipulates the following restrictions on the use of the membership directory. By using the PIUG online directory website you agree to be legally bound by these terms. If you do not agree to be legally bound by all the following terms please do not access the directory.
In the event that the officers decide that a pattern of non-compliance has been established by a particular individual or company, that individual or company will be contacted privately by one of the PIUG officers and requested to comply with established guidelines for using the PIUG Membership Directory. In extreme cases, further action (including termination of PIUG membership) may be undertaken as deemed necessary by the PIUG Board.
PIUG, as an organization, is entitled to use the PIUG membership directory to further PIUG business, including communication with the members of the organization about PIUG events and policies.
