Amtrak to Baltimore Penn Station is inexpensive, reliable and very convenient. Trains arrive here from Wilmington DE, Philadelphia PA, Trenton NJ, Princeton NJ, Newark NJ, New York NY and New England. Check the Amtrak website for schedules. The Amtrak station is about 2.5 mi = 4.1 km from the hotel. Taxi fare to the hotel from the Amtrak station is about $9.00. Estimated drive time 10 min.

BWI - Baltimore Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport, MD, USA
BWI Marshall is showcased in a list of the "Top Ten Easiest U.S. Airports To Get To" by Aviation.com, according to the BWI web site. It is a major hub for AirTran, Southwest and US Airways. Airfares to BWI tend to be on the low side. Although it is called "International Airport", the only city we could find outside the US and Canada that is serviced by BWI is London.
Useless trivia; When James Bond arrived in the US in the movie Dr. No, he arrived at BWI. It is unlikely that he is still waiting for his suitcase.

Babe Ruth Birthplace / Baltimore Orioles Museum, off the 600 block of Pratt St at 216 Emory St. The museum contains Babe Ruth photographs, memorabilia and paintings associated with the Bambino, Maryland's other baseball greats, and the Baltimore Orioles.
Baltimore Maritime Museum, Inner Harbor at Pier 3 on Pratt St. Includes the submarine USS Torsk, the floating lighthouse USS Chesapeake and the USS Taney.
Baltimore Museum of Art. Includes the Cone collection of modern art, including works by Matisse, Picasso and van Gogh, works from Africa, the Americas and Oceania and more.
Baltimore Public Works museum traces the history and development of the city's public works system. Includes a noted 1912 sewage pumping station.
Baseball: The Baltimore Orioles will be hosting the Boston Red Sox at Camden Yards on Saturday, May 1, at 7:05PM and Sunday, May 2, at 1:35PM. Clyburn Arboretum and Mansion contains several striking gardens and a nature museum.
Dr. Samuel D. Harris National Museum of Dentistry contains George Washington's lower denture and instruments used to treat Queen Victoria.
Enoch Pratt Free Library contains permanent displays about Edgar Allen Poe and H. L. Mencken.
Fort McHenry National Monument and Historic Shrine. The US national anthem was inspired by the unsuccessful British attack on the fort during the War of 1812. The fort protected the entrance to Baltimore harbor through every American war through World War II. It is an inspiring place.

Top of the World, on the 27th floor of the Baltimore World Trade Center, offers a panoramic view of the city and harbor. Exhibits highlight Baltimore's history.
Walters Art Gallery houses more than 25,000 works of art covering 6,000 years. Includes ceramics, enamels, Faberge eggs, tapestries and jewelry. Collections run from the ancient through medieval, Renaissance, the old masters, Asian art and armor.
