The following patent information and related events are offered May 11-14, 2021:

    Tuesday, May 11, 2021
    11:00am – 12:00pm ET | 6:00 – 7:00 pm CET
    CPA Global
Realizing the business value of patent intelligence through patent monitoring          Registration
In this session we will explore how creating a comprehensive patent monitoring program  [and] acontextualizes this within your IP landscape…
    [
How a competitor’s strategy is evolving; How emerging technologies are enabling new business models; How new inventions from unexpected sources are creating freedom to operate (FTO) and litigation risk.]

(“So how can these traditional approaches to taxonomy (R&D unit, Inventive Process Cost; IP Prep and Prosecution Cost; Family Maintenance Cost, Business Profit center, Product Hierarchy – see a Table within the blog) be extended to also support your broader business strategy? One solution is to take a value stream approach. A technology-based taxonomy that maps each stage where additional value is added on the journey toward the end consumer – i.e. your R&D, legal and business stakeholders….Join us on May 11th where we will present a six-step approach to creating a comprehensive patent monitoring program…)

    10:30 – 11:30 am ET | 4:30 – 5:30 pm CET
    EMBL-EBI Training:
A guide to exploring drug-like compounds and their biological targets using ChEMBL
    Registration
This webinar will provide an overview of the ChEMBL web interface, data types within ChEMBL and how ChEMBL can be used to answer questions relevant to medicinal chemistry and drug discovery
See also: ChEMBL: Bioactive data for drug discovery  (ChEMBL is a manually curated database of bioactive molecules with drug-like properties. It brings together chemical, bioactivity and genomic data to aid the translation of genomic information into effective new drugs)
    As of May 10, 2021: 14,347 Targets; 2,086,898 Distinct compounds; 17,276,334 Activities; 80,480 Publications; 170 Deposited Datasets
Patent Bioactivity Data in ChEMBL. A  current ChEMBL 28 release (Jan. 15, 2021) Patent Bioactivity Data includes 10,796 Compounds, 48,767 Records and 138,355 activities.  As noted in [1]  “[ChEMBL] data extraction effort is focused on patents containing compounds and bioactivity data for targets that are not currently well represented in ChEMBL (and in particular, those of interest to the NIH Illuminating the Druggable Genome project…” Also ChEMBL has patent bioactivity data extracted from BindingDB dataset which include data from curation of 2013-mid 2020 US patent  data. As of May 5, 2012,
ChEMBL has data from 1899 patents from BinndingDB dataset and from 498 patents from ChEMBL Patent Bioactivity Data.
