Patent Data Publishers, Product & Service Companies
The following are the general principles by which we accept articles from patent information industry companies. These guidelines are developed in order to minimize conflicts of interest and partiality:
Articles about patent information issues affecting professionals in the field, and not specific to the products and services of the author or author's employer, are welcome.
We welcome submissions (eg., press releases) about relevant companies, products, and services for inclusion in the Industry News column. Please note that PIUG and the Industry News columnist reserve the right to condense and summarize the material as needed for space considerations.
We will consider printing articles about a company, product, or service authored by an affiliated company employee, representative or agent if the article compares at least one other similar product developed by another organization, preferably unaffiliated with the author's organization. It is recommended that you advise the PIUG Newsletter editor of your intentions before submission so that any concerns can be resolved with the Newsletter Committee.
If you would like to publish an article relating only to your products/services, it can be accepted as a paid advertisement and would either need to be obvious as such, or will be denoted as such.
The PIUG newsletter committee reserves the right to decide whether or not to publish all materials in each PIUG newsletter issue.
