Travel Directions to the Hilton Woodbridge

Hotel Reservations

    If you plan to stay overnight at the Woodbridge Hilton for the NE PIUG Meeting, please be sure to ask for the PIUG room rate. This will be a reduced rate for you of $139/night and it will also reduce our meeting room costs if we meet a minimum.  The rate applies for September 26th-30th.  You must mention "PIUG" when making reservations.

    Reservations made on or before September 15th will qualify for the PIUG room rate.

Travel By car

    Take the Garden State Parkway to exit 131A-hotel is on the right hand side as you exit.
    From the New Jersey Turnpike: take exit 11 to the Garden State Parkway North to exit 131A-hotel is on the right hand side as you exit.

Travel By Train

    New Jersey Transit (NJT) or Amtrak to Metropark Iselin station. Trains arrive here from Washington DC, Baltimore MD, Wilmington DE, Philadelphia PA, Trenton NJ, Princeton(1) NJ, Newark NJ, New York NY, Connecticut(2) and Boston(3) MA.

    The Hilton Hotel is happy to send a shuttle to the Metropark.  Please call in advance, 732-494-6200.

    Need to stretch those legs after that long ride on the train?  The Hilton is about 0.5 miles from the Metropark.  As you exit the station, walk right (south or west ) to Wood Ave and then left onto Wood Ave.
    The Hilton will be on your left.

1. How do you get to Princeton? Study really hard.
2. How do you get to Yale? Study even harder!
3. How do you get to Harvard? Why would you want to go to Harvard?

Travel By Air

    From Newark International Airport (17 miles)

    By train from the airport

      See http://www.amtrak.com/stations/ewr.html for details. The Newark International Airport Rail Station (EWR) is connected to the airport terminals by a monorail. The charge for this monorail is included in Amtrak and New Jersey Transit (NJT) fares for tickets sold to and from the Newark Airport Rail Station.
      "To ride the monorail (or pass from the monorail to the rail platform), Amtrak guests must present their Amtrak ticket receipt showing Newark Airport as the destination or boarding point to the gate agent. (New Jersey Transit passengers will likewise need to have their NJT ticket to or from Newark Airport Rail Station.)".

      Get off at Metropark Iselin station.

    By car from the airport

      Take US 1+9 (NORTH) for about 1 mi.
      MCCARTER HWY [HWY 21 (NORTH)]
      US 22 (WEST) about 4.4 miles.
      GARDEN STATE PKY (SOUTH) about 9 miles. Get off at exit 131, Route 27 (SOUTH).
      Right turn onto Route 27 south. Go about 0.3 mi.
      Turn left onto Wood Av. Go about 0.2 mi.

    • Statue of Liberty National Monument and Ellis Island. Best access for this trip is from Jersey City.
    • Morristown National Historic Park. George Washington slept here during the winter of 1779-80.
    • Edison National Historic Site, West Orange NJ. Edison had over 1,000 patents, but perhaps the most important thing he invented was industrial research. The first movies - including the first Westerns - were made from his studios near here.
    • Thomas A. Edison Memorial Tower and Menlo Park Museum, Menlo Park NJ.
