Monday, February 12, 2007 – 9:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Hotel AccommodationsPIUG has made arrangements for the Hyatt Regency Boston to offer group rates to meeting attendees. This page gives details about pricing, reservation methods, and billing arrangements. Further details about the Hyatt Regency Boston are available in their Hotel Location Guide and Fact Sheet. Please note: If you would like to stay at the Hyatt Regency you must make your own hotel reservation directly with the hotel. Registering for the meeting does not reserve a hotel room for you. Make sure to mention PIUG when making reservations. Guest Rooms Rates from Saturday, 2/10/07 thru Wednesday 2/14/07
An early departure fee of $50.00 will be charged to each guest if departure occurs prior to the agreed upon departure day. This day will be verified upon arrival, if changed after check in this fee will apply. A charge of $25.00 will be added for a third person sharing a double room. Children 17 years and under may share the same room with parents at no additional charge. Cut-Off Date The "cut-off date" is Friday, February 9, 2007. Reservation requests received after the cut-off date will be based on availability at the Hotel’s prevailing rates and will be credited to the Group’s Guest Room Block. Please note the hotel's check-in/check-out times of 4:00 PM and 12:00 PM respectively. Reservation Method Reservations will be made directly to the Hyatt Regency Boston by your attendees on an individual basis. For your convenience, reservations may be made through the hotel's toll-free number (800-233-1234). It is imperative that individuals indicate their PIUG affiliation when making reservations. The Hotel has a 24-hour cancellation policy. Any reservations that are not cancelled 24 hours in advance of the arrival date will be charged one night’s room and tax as a no-show penalty. All non-guaranteed reservations will be held until 3:00 pm on the day prior to arrival, unless specifically designated as guaranteed. A guarantee may take the form of an advance deposit for the first night’s room and tax or an appropriate valid credit card number and expiration date (MasterCard, VISA, American Express, Diner’s Club, Carte Blanche and Discover Card), or other appropriate arrangements with the hotel's Credit Department, prior to your arrival. If there are changes to a reservation, the Group representative or the individual with the reservation should inform the Hotel immediately. Should a reservation not be cancelled by 3:00 pm on the day prior to the scheduled arrival, the Group (or individual) will be charged one night ’s room and tax as a no-show fee. Room rates are quoted exclusive of applicable state and local tax (which are currently 12.45%) or applicable service, or hotel specific fees in effect at the Hotel at the time of the meeting. Credit and Billing Arrangements Individuals will be responsible for handling their own room, tax and incidental charges, such as telephone calls, valet service, meals, parking, etc. Payment of individual charges is due upon departure. The hotel's credit policy requires that a major credit card, cash or travelers checks must be presented at time of check-in to cover all room, tax and incidental charges for the attendee's entire stay. An allowance of $50.00 per day for incidental charges will be required in the deposit provided by guests paying with cash or travelers checks.
